As of 30th September 2021, a number of court fees in England and Wales have increased.
Some of the most notable increases in private family law proceedings are set out below:
- The Divorce court fee has increased from £550 to £593;
- A Financial Remedy application has increased from £255 to £275;
- A Children Act application has risen from £215 to £232;
- The fee for filing of a Consent Order with the court has increased from £50 to £53.
The monthly income threshold to qualify for help with fees has also increased, so do check whether you are eligible for a fee remission.
